Different Types of Vinyl ~ What is best for you?

Vinyl has been around for a number of years!  In the last few years, it has become popular as home decor.  Other popular uses for vinyl are sign making, vehicle graphics and lettering.  If you are using your vinyl as home decor, you NEED to make sure you are using or ordering the correct type of vinyl.
First, make sure your vinyl is classified as INDOOR vinyl.  Since alot of vinyl merchants combine services, they feel it unnecessary to carry vinyl for OUTDOOR and INDOOR use.  But, an outdoor vinyl generally has different adhesive.  It could ruin your wallpaper or paint when you want to remove it.  And if you can get the outdoor vinyl removed, it would most likely leave a sticky residue so that it would be quite visible where you had the vinyl adhered in the first place.
Optimally, you would also like MATTE FINISH indoor vinyl.  Almost all outdoor vinyls are glossy or metallic.  Indoor vinyl that has a matte finish will give you a more "painted on" look.  This will make your room have a nicer appeal with a high-quality look.
A reputable vinyl supplier will provide this info to guarantee that you receive a high-quality product!
If you like to be on the safe side when you remove your vinyl, use a hair blow dryer.  This will release the adhesive and allow you to easily peel the vinyl off.  A high-quality indoor vinyl can easily be removed without the hair blow dryer - just peel it off.  Finger nails are a plus with this OR have a very thin plastic scraper to get underneath the vinyl.  Remember not to use anything that will harm your paint or wallpaper.
