Using Vinyl Stickers To Decorate An Old Window

Wall Decor Plus More was able to gain access to a bunch of old wooden windows!  We had a grand time decorating one of them up for all to see.

The wooden frame was painted and then distressed to give it a vintage/antique look.  Next we designed a personalized sticker to fit the 2 ft by 2 ft glass area.  The design is personalized with the family name in gold.  We also coordinated the saying below the photo to highlight "family".

The photo size displayed here is an 8x10.  There is space to update with a photo with a landscape orientation also and/or a larger photo.  The photo is just taped to the glass but you could get scrapbook corners and apply the photo to the back of the glass.  Another option is placing 2 smaller photos on each side of the large photo but covering up the swirls then too.

We have these windows available for purchase also.  We are not able to ship these.  You may pick up your window or stop and visit Wall Decor Plus More at one of our craft show booths this fall.  We can decorate them up for you ($45); you can purchase the stickers and decorate it yourself ($22), or you can purchase windows as is ($12). This window is approximately 2 ft by 2 ft. We do have one more smaller size also.  Contact us by email walldecorplusmore@goldenwest.net with purchase details.

Wedding and Shower Gift ideas - using Wall Vinyl Stickers

Wall Decor Plus More recently started a collection of designs specifically for tiles.  Tiles make a PERFECT gift - for wedding, anniversary, and so much more!  Personalized wedding tiles are the most popular, featuring the couple's name and wedding date.

Tile designs cost between $12 and $17, depending on size.  Add your $1-$2 for the tile and you have a unique yet affordable gift!
Tiles can be purchased at many home improvement stores like Menards, Lowes, etc.  A customer recently ordered a few tile designs - she had found a stack of tiles leftover from her floor and was going to use them up as gifts!
Generic tiles with quotes like "Bless this Home" and family oriented quotes also make great gifts!

Tiles can also be placed outside - in your rock garden or at the cemetary.  Keep in mind the sticker on the tile may start to curl or peel after a couple years if left outside all the time.

Typical tiles are a square at either 12" x 12" or 16" x 16"; but can also be found in the small 6" x 6" size.

Decorated tiles can be displayed on a metal rack/stand found at most home decor stores, like Hobby Lobby.  My favorite rack can be used as a stand or, with the legs folded in, can be used to hang the tile on the wall.

Keep an eye on our Tile Designs page as we will be adding designs on a regular basis.

How to add Wall Vinyl Stickers to outlet covers

Did you know that you can use the same stickers that you decorate your walls with to add zing to your outlet covers and light switch covers?  YES!  Here are a few photos showing how we used some leftover Zebra Stripes Stickers to jazz up an outlet cover.

  1. Cut your sticker piece to fit the outlet cover.  A little larger or extra won't hurt as you will trim up later.

2. Peel the backing off your sticker and apply to the outlet cover.  3. Then peel the top tape layer off the sticker.
Here is what it will look like after you applied the sticker to the outlet cover.
4. Last you need to use an Exacto knife or blade to trim the pieces off the plug-in openings and where ever there is extra.  Smooth everything down, especially around the edges and there you are...

Ta-Da!  So FUN!
