Courtesy of everthinevintage.blogspot.com
Do you know what you're getting your mom this year for Mother's Day? Here are 10 ideas to help you get a jumpstart on her gift!

1. Pinterest has so many great ideas, and you could even make some yourself! DIY gifts somehow always seem to mean more to Mom.

2. Another wonderful place to look for gifts for mom is on Amazon. They have awesome deals and great shipping prices.

3. Flowers are always, always a MUST for Mother's Day!!! Colorful bouquets, monochromatic bunches, it doesn't matter as long as they are her favorite, like tulips are my mom's favorite!

4.Wall Decor Plus More has a wide variety of wall stickers that pertain to Mom, from new moms to moms who are now grandmas, we'll have something for her!

5. Take your favorite picture of you and your mom (or whole family), and have it printed out on a canvas! These are awesome gifts, and one that she'll treasure for a long time to come!

6. More flowers! You can never go wrong with a pretty bunch of flowers!

7. Finding Mom a sappy card bound to make her cry a little or finding a humorous card to make her laugh is so important, if not most important! They can help you to tell her how you feel, especially if you don't say if often enough!

8. Does your mom really love roses, but hates all the maintenance required for rose bushes? Buy her a rose tree! They are hardy, bloom for 9 months and need little to no maintenance!

9. Or if Mom's not into roses, buy her that big planter she's been eying, along with a gift card to her favorite greenhouse, so she can fill it how she wants!

10. Shower your mom with love! Breakfast in bed, leaving nothing for her to do but relax, taking her out for dinner and drinks, or just simply being there for her all make pretty awesome gifts!

All mothers deserve a special day. They put up with so much from newborns to teenagers to adults who still think they know everything. And moms seem to think that they only get one day to be truly appreciated. Let's make an effort to show our moms that they are valued beyond belief every single day!

Happy Mother's Day to all moms, (and especially mine, who truly is the greatest mom)!!!!

A Little Advice for Jazzing Up That Boys Room

Okay, so we have talked about redoing a girl's room a few times already, so I believe it is only fair that we focus on the boys now! It was definitely a challenge finding these ideas. There are just so many more ideas for redecorating a girl's room than for the boys! It must be because boys aren't nearly as picky as girls about what goes in their room, as long as they can play and make a mess in it.

 Let's get started!

On a budget? No problem! Shop at rummage/garage sales or thrift shops! You can find some truly wonderful things for a great price! For example, someone might be getting rid of an old dresser, and you see it and think all it needs is a little varnish and a fresh coat of paint!

Speaking of paint, a new color instantly brings new life into a room! Ask your boy (or boys), what his favorite color is and then incorporate it into the decor! Find a new color at your local home improvement store, like Lowe's, Menards or the Home Depot.

Is he into astronauts at the moment? Cowboys? Boats? Cars? Sports? Find all sorts of awesome design ideas at digsdigs.com. They have all of the above and more! Find a patriotic theme, a guitar theme, or even a tree fort theme! So cool!

Another affordable way to decorate is to use wall decals! Going with a pirate theme? We have a pirate ship and quote, even a growth chart, that would be perfect!

We also have some great sports related wall decals! These would be ideal for that young man who really cares about nothing else but sports, cars and girls.

Well folks, I tried to find more but I'm running out of time! I hope these ideas help you find a new idea for your boy's room!

Have fun and have a wonderful weekend!!

5 Ways to Revitalize Your Walls

Are you sick of using one color as an accent wall?? Well, get rid of the frustration and use wall stickers! Paint with one color and then put up the wall stickers! They are fun, easy to apply and don't hurt your paint at all!

1. Try using polka dots to freshen up a room. Love the combo of the stripes and dots!
2. Entryways can always use a little help to feel warm and inviting. Use our teardrop design to do just that!
3. Making a Victorian-theme nursery? Try our vintage floral pattern! It makes a grand statement of sophistication and class.

4. Circles are so fun and can make any room look new! In this laundry room, it adds a little pizazz and attention to an otherwise unnoticed room.

5. Stripes can be such a pain when you have to paint them. You have to measure everything to the nth degree and make sure you don't have crooked lines. But with these wall stickers, you'll be mess free and headache free! You'll still have to do some leveling with these wall sticker stripes but it won't take nearly as long as actual painting.

April Showers Bring...Splatter and Splotches!

It's inevitable. Spring is here, and that means the mud has arrived too. This usually means a messy house with tracks and splatters of mud everywhere, especially if you have little ones or a dog! My puppy has decided he loves the mud and likes to try to bring some inside.

There is one way you can enjoy the mud splatters! I know, I know, you think I'm crazy right now. But it's true! Wall Decor Plus More offers Splatter and Splotches Wall Stickers in a wide variety of colors. So you won't even have to see all that mud!

Our adorable mud splatters come in a set of 13 pieces, ranging from 1.75" - 5". We offer 33 colors to choose from and as you can see in the photo to the right, multiple sheets can be used to cover a wide area.

They are also super easy to put up! It has a simple peel n stick application (see video). We had so much fun putting them up! As you can also see, some of the splatters are layered, so they actually look like they were thrown up against the wall.

Room Ideas For Kids

kids room decor-color splotches Do you need some ideas for decorating kids rooms?
The best way to get good ideas is to ask your children! Involving your children in the decorating process can be rewarding for both you and them.

Be prepared for their tastes to change as they grow older, so be careful not to get too trendy with the decorating. Passing fads can fade pretty quickly, leaving them with a room that they don't like anymore.

Preschool Child's Room

Storing Toys -  Using shelves with containers that are easy to reach will make clean up time easier for them. Remember, the fewer toys they have, the less clutter there is. There is also more room to play with fewer toys.
Save the more delicate items for storage on top shelves or out of the line of sight.
Painting  - it's fun and easy to use bright colors in a kid's room.  It's relatively easy to change later and will give them a sense of personal space if their room is different.

Hobbies - What hobbies or interests do they have? If they are involved with sports, that can be incorporated into the decorating as well.
Accessories - keep rugs, pillows, bedding, curtains, etc. in easy-to-clean textiles. Avoid white or cream solids that will get dirty easily.
Wall Decor - It's so nice not to worry about the kids breaking things, so use one of the easiest ways to decorate your child's room. Try wall stickers! Easy to apply and remove, they come in a wide variety of shapes, sayings, art forms.

Redoing Your Not-So-Little Girl's Room

DA016-G
Are you getting ready to make a beautiful nursery for your new baby girl?  Or is it time to transform that nursery into a big girl room? I found some awesome design ideas that you could use to make that transformation easier!

Use every color in the paint world arsenal! Make it a rainbow-like, color filled room! But don't forget to use a neutral color to tone down the boldness of the colors just a little.

Sayings and quotes are always a big hit. Find one that fits your daughter perfectly on our website!  We have stickers for baby girl nursery decor and big girl bedrooms!

Start early and add a little sophistication into your baby girl's life! Add her initials in a pretty monogram to the wall for a timeless effect!
Chalkboard walls are always fun to do! It might take a bit more work for you, but the end result is awesome. Plus, while you get to draw and write on it now, in a few years she'll have so much fun making her own creations on it!

Zebra Alphabet with Name
You can always add a monogram sticker with her name to personalize her space, especially if she has to share a room with her sister! Or make it a zebra print monogram for some extra fun!

If you really, really want to use pink in her room (but don't want it to be too bold or even too sweet and pastel-like), add some dark browns or black to even out the pink tones.
Oh there are just so many ways to design a little girl's room! I hope these ideas help you get started and have fun planning and decorating!
